224945 2004-03-25 00:01:00 Can someone please tell me where to go on my computer to find out how much memory is being used by certain programs. I'm running XP...thanks. jonzsie (2689)
224946 2004-03-25 00:27:00 System Monitor in win98se. Have a look at programs from the start buttom, look for system tools. Not totally sure myself here but have a look at system monitor, probly similar in XP. :D mark c (247)
224947 2004-03-25 01:57:00 I had a look there and found nothing. Have looked in control panel administrative tools but couldn't find anything there either. I know it's somewhere because a little box icon turned up in my task bar and when I clicked on it it said I was low on memory.....and it showed the programs and what they were using but do you think I can find it anywhere...no. jonzsie (2689)
224948 2004-03-25 02:00:00 in win98se it's Start / programs / accessories / system tools / system monitor.

224951 2004-03-25 02:43:00 Mark c's version for Win98SE isn't quite right.
The last entry should be System Information, not System Monitor.
Then click on the square boxes beside the entries on the left panel to open them up and find the info..

224953 2004-03-25 02:51:00 For XP, r/c Taskbar | Task Manager | Windows Task Manager | Performance for graphs or Processes for Memory usage by Programmes FrankS (257)
224954 2004-03-25 04:53:00 to add to frank's post, in the "processes" tab in task manager, you can click "view/select columns" to add more information. (such as virtual memory, peak memory usage...)

btw. you can also start task manger by pressing ctrl+shift+esc
