224666 2004-03-23 14:39:00 i have a few cds i compiled myself and instead of writing down whats on each cd and in each folder, is there anything i can do to have the computer make up a txt file saying whats on the cd,
for example

My Documents
Recipe1
Recipe2

Downloaded Programs
MacromediaMX
Rise of Nations

(this is a example and no theres nothing illegal)

it doesnt have to be laid out like that but yeah i'd probably make it look good coz i've got cd cases for them too and gonna put it in a kinda cover thing for the case the cd is going in...

Thanks in advance :)

Not sure if htis is what you want but a I think Publisher has cd cover wizard or at the very least a template you can use

224669 2004-03-23 21:21:00 i use a program called cdmanager its great just put the cd in the drive and the tell it to read it, it then stores the info in a file explorer format which you can modify Budda (2736)
224670 2004-03-24 02:54:00 dir E: /s > C:\cdlist.txt :D Graham L (2)
224671 2004-03-24 03:15:00 I was going to suggest that, Graham, but decided it was too much hard work explaining exactly where that needs to be typed. :D Susan B (19)

224674 2004-03-24 03:43:00 Terrible, isn't it, a single line command doing the work a 200KB-odd programme can do?

Use dir /? and try various options to get the exact format you want.
