| 224626 | 2004-03-23 13:01:00 | When I click on a link in msn mesenger or Outlook express that someone has sent me, my IE does not open up and display the link. I have to copy and paste it. Sometimes links that have been saved come up with the box "Program not found. Windows can not find Mozill~1.EXE This program is needed for opening files of type 'URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol'. Location of Mozill~1.EXE C:\ Well I got rid of Mozilla many months ago cos of the problems I had with it and its still causing problems. How do I get my Internet explorer to take charge again? Windows ME. |

| 224629 | 2004-03-25 00:25:00 | After working around the problem for several months (wasn't using this pc much, been using laptop) it occured to me after posting the above to go to control panel/add remove programs and run fix Internet Explorer. Quite simple really. If I had thought about it a bit more before posting I wouldn't have needed to post but sometimes when in a hurry to do things I just try the easy method and ask rather than think for myself. The pc actually had been opening the browser until a couple of days ago but still had the mozill message since uninstalling mozilla a long time ago. After having similar problems with Trend Micro Pc cillin a year ago which wasn't resolved until I reformatted I thought the problem was going to be trickier to resolve than what it was. What I really wanted to fix was the browser not opening and the fix for that solved both issues thankfully. | Danger (287) | ||
