225179 2004-03-25 22:48:00 Hi,
I am trying to install the above CD program- it is registered and acknowledged by Paint shop- but how do I install it?--on XP- it is installed on my W 98 SE.
It appears to work O K off the CD but in case of loss I would like it on the harddrive.
There does not appear to be a set-up icon

225180 2004-03-25 23:11:00 What files are on the root directory of the CD?

One of them will run the setup program, perhaps its autorun or similar?
Open any autorun file in notepad and see what file it invokes, then invoke that file manually?

225181 2004-03-25 23:18:00 Hi eddie,
I had a similar problem with a friend that I was installing it on. I cant remember exactly what we did but we recorded our setup process on his computer for future reference. Email me (in my profile) and I can send you the details.

cheers

225182 2004-03-29 12:01:00 I have Paint Shop Pro 7.
Just put the CD in the drive
Start/Run
Select Setup
Ok
Run.

I have never had any problems installing it many times.

225183 2004-03-29 12:08:00 I have just had an Idea.
Your version of PP Pro may be different to mine.
It may be on the lines of Paint Shop Pro 8 which copies the setup files on to the hard drive & then you run setup from there I seem to remember that PSP 3 was the same. The problem was to find the files. I think they were in "Jaques Software" in C:\program files or maybe a Temp folder.
