| 225064 | 2004-03-25 07:32:00 | Recently I bought a brand new, 2-disk game . On my computer, neither disk works, and the first disk isnt even reconised by my CD drive . I have tried my CD on another computer, and it works fine on it . Normally I would say that my CD drive was Broken, but it reconisied and played every other CD we own, with no trouble . What is wrong, and why cant I play my game? |

Does that include other games CDs? What are the system specs of your computer? What is the game you are trying to play? |

| 225071 | 2004-03-28 07:26:00 | as i said before, and it might sound stupid, but my theory is that your CD drive and that CD dont like each other. it has happend before, and i daresay it will happen again.... if anyone has read the README.TXT that comes with Age Of Mythology, you will notice that there is a section dedecated to CD-ROM problems, in particular, some CDroms that have trouble with the "original CD validation", eg: the factory-made - shop-bought CD is in the drive, and yet the game just says "please insert the age of mythology CD-ROM and press OK". sometimes the readme says - upgrade the CDrom drivers, sometimes, the firmware - other times it will say there are no know solutions. In my opinion that could be what is wrong. try upgrading the drive's firmware or something. failing that - go yell at the people you bought the game off an demand a refund or something... |
