Merely a joke, no offence intended, it is just there to remind you to stop doing whatever you are doing. Ok completely unnecessary to quote a persons' entire post, try posting sections of it that are relevant to what you want to talk about. Example 2 Making 2 or 3 consecutive posts in a row, without adding more useful information Rather self explanetory that one. In BillyT's case he deserves half the flak he gets for intentionally trying to make people look like idiots by arguing pointless matters and for intentionally using big words in his regular posts which make people reach for their dictionaries. (Not talking about WTFWE because he explains the meanings there). I've always seen his posts as rather too 'High and Mighty' and 'Greater than Thou'. Some people just need to be brought down off their self proclaimed throne of existence. No one could ever interpret BillyT's posts to be humble, rather the opposite. In WTF's case I think he posts some rather amusing comments at times. Sometimes pointed, but usually deserved. In the case of drcspy, it all spawned when drcspy was swearing at a representative on a helpdesk phone. This annoyed WTF greatly because he claims to be a helpdesk representative for an ISP. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if drcspy actually (and coincidentally) was shouting at WTF in the actual helpdesk conversation. WTF probably still holds a grudge over that, but time to move on I think.	aroc (3256)

We cant all have wonderful personalities like me......:p life is to short, just get on and live it, live it to the best possible way you can, and to hell with the rest. be here for you, not for the rest, as i said before in other post, time out helps all concerned, let things cool down before replying to any irritating or frustrating post. it helps beleive me. :D beetle	beetle (243)

But I will . 1] Rather than starting a thread like this that will always end up with me doing this, please, if someone is being offensive towards you report it to me . In this case, the apparent history going on here is unknown to me - I have been very busy helping produce a magazine and do not have the time to check eveything going on here . So I rely on you all to be mature and when you think there is a lack of maturity email me - my email is linked in the "rules" thread at the top of the thread list . But if you all go around stabbbing each other in the back and then suddenly, after much bad blood, email me asking me to ban this user and that user, well frankly, I'm not going to wade through weeks of posts to find out who threw the first stone . 2] The rules are simple and clear and tagged at the top of the thread list, but in case any of you missed them, here they are again: 1) Keep it friendly: If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything . If you feel a thread or post is offensive do not respond in kind . Simply email me, including a link to the thread: Bruce Buckman (mailto:bruce_buckman@idg . co . nz) 2) No offensive language or user names (phonetic spellings included) . I don't need to spell this out, just use common sense -- this isn't an adult-only forum . 3) Be Nice: PressF1 is designed as a tech help forum . But it is also a community board . Off topic discussions are allowed but please head the thread with "Off Topic" (not OT) so other users know what to expect . 4) Subject Matter: Please refrain from or asking for, or giving advice on how to pirate software . This includes posting links to sites where Warez, no CD hacks, keygens etc etc can be found . And yes, this also covers advice on how to illegally gain access to a commercial service, such as Sky TV . 5) Keep it friendly: Yes, it gets double billing . It isn't that hard . 6) Put an active email address in your user profile: PressF1 user profiles are used for NO other function than managing PressF1 . By putting a correct email address in your profile you can be contacted privately by myself or another mod . It is also necessary if you want thread alerts to work . 7) No commercial posting, spamming, or otherwise using the forum to promote products and services purely for your own gain . This doesn't stop you recommending products and services to other users, nor does it stop a vendor discussing their products in relation to a post . But users who post purely to promote their business/website may find their threads deleted along with their user ID . So - don't retaliate, breaching the rules yourself by posting some old fashioned cusswords . Email me so I can lock the offending thread and let you all calm down . Some of you appear to have been stewing in your own juices for far too long, and now the fluid has all cooked off and your burning the pot .
