| 225676 | 2004-03-28 10:46:00 | I need to copy all my e-mail from Outlook off my laptop and put them on to my desktop. I have exported them to a .pst file (88MB) , but when I try to import them with Outlook on the other computer, it says it can't do it, a password is needed, but no opportunity to put one in. Can you copy the files a different way, and if so where are they located? |

I can't tell you where your PST file is as I have shifted mine to a different drive so that I don't lose my email archives if I have C:\ drive collapse. However, you can find the location by using Start >Search and entering *.pst in the search field. Copy that file to another folder then transfer it by whatever means you like (network or CD etc) to the other computer. Rename the old PST file in that computer first as "old.pst" or Outlook.ps_ so that you don't overwrite it and when you open Outlook you should find everything there from the old computer.
