225668 2004-03-28 09:44:00 Hi

Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to get infected by these dialer programs from an embedded picture in and E-mail. I got sent and E-mail that turned out to be spam but before I realised it I had opened it and it contained a pornographic picture. Now I'm worried if I might have been infected by one of there dialers as I'm terrified of getting one.

225669 2004-03-28 10:27:00 run an anti virus and spyware removal tool (check the FAQs)

as for the dialer.........
1) open "my computer"
2) open "dialup networking"

3) see if you have any dial up conections other than the one for your ISP.
4) if you do then deleate it.

AntiVirus program
Spybot search&destroy
Ad-aware

Update them and run them.

Also, I would recommend a program called SpywareBlaster. It's like an innoculation against Internet Explorer hijacks amoungst others.

The only problem found is that they may remove some Kazaa files ,which stop it working.
