226744 2004-04-02 13:15:00 Just got a series of quakes in Lower Hutt..no not the game, earthquakes. About 5 judders so far over 5 mins. Not real big here but the Hutt Valley floor normally wobbles rather than jolts. Hope everyones ok.

charts show a small mark my guess is that is was out to sea and far away.

That explains why one of my kids woke just after midnight.
My house is situated about 40 metres away from the main faultline at the northern end of Upper hutt. :-(
Terry's house is a bit safer, I'd say about 500metres away in a straight line.

Hmmm, a shuddering fridge race might be interesting if one can ignore the chaos going on.
