226828 2004-04-04 06:50:00 Hullo again, LucyL

I have been scratching around looking for "import clips" and can't find it! Perhaps I have the wrong version of Publisher, or I am looking in the wrong place.

I checked my version of Publisher - it is Publisher 2002. but within Office XP.... I am becoming more and more confused. What set out as a pleasant Sunday occupation, has taken most of the day, and I'm not finished yet!

Thanks for your help.
Cheers

226829 2004-04-05 05:49:00 Hi Mrs Mac

Open your clipart gallery and choose clip organizer (towards the bottom under the heading "See Also").

From File Menu choose "Add Clips to Organizer"

Choose "On my Own" and from the dialogue box point to your CD drive and in the box "File Types" make sure "All Clip Organizer Files Types" is selected.

This should then import the keywords along with the clips.

Hope this helps

226830 2004-04-05 07:10:00 LucyL - thankyou for your very explicit instructions! I appreciated that, however, when I highlighted all the files and tried to import them, the whole system bogged down.... :(

I'm away to my class in French conversation (we're going to France later in the year) - so I'll try again later on.

Many thanks :)

Don't try and import the actual pictures - that's why you don't get any keywords.

You need to make sure that you are trying to import "Clip Organizer Files".

If you choose this option you are importing just thumbnails and the info telling your system where to find the actual clip.

The file you are looking to import is called something like "CNTCD1.MMW"
on the XP Media disk the path is: FILES\PFILES\MSOFFICE\MEDIA\CNTCD1

Have another go, I'm sure you'll get it in the end.

Cheers (or should I say au revoir et bon chance)
