Mozilla fonts in Mepis linux are fine although the fonts in the PF1 reply box I'm typing in now are about 8 pt, no doubt if I bothered to look through the 12 pt menus I'd find a fix for it as there seem to be any number choises for anything you could think of.

DD. You only have to run IE to test, don't you?

How do you mean? I usually test in Netscape also but between you, me and the gatepost, most of my customers wouldn't know what Netscape was, let alone Opera, Mozilla etc.

Yes I know, shame

Actually I have a sign on my car, "Powered by OpenOffice.org", (its supposed to be spoof on the "Powered by" on some websites) hows that for the cause. In the 6 months its been there only one person has ever commented on it and he said "Yes! OpenOffice" as he walked past (he obviously was already a convert).

I have wondered about buying some Linux type teeshirts "for the cause"

226527 2004-04-03 00:31:00 Actually Susan, I went for a job interview once (for a change) and was talking to the IT manager about their internet banking system. She made some smart comment about non IE users being geeks (talk about generalise). Dolby Digital (160)
226528 2004-04-03 03:22:00 Well, you should have pulled the chicken out of your pocket and bitten the head off. ;-)

(To save mess in your pocket, it should probably be a rubber chicken).

Ah, but real nerds have pocket protectors :p

> DD, I would be interested to know if your Mozilla also has a micro-sized font as compared with IE in Windows. I'm beginning to think this problem is very much a Xandros or generic Linux problem. Funny no one has mentioned this in relation to other linux distributions though.

My Linux browsers (Mozilla Firebird/fox, Mozilla and Konqueror) all display font sizes correctly in the title and icon bar areas. I did notice that on some webpages with Mozilla Firebird that the website font size itself was rather small - DSE was a prime example. I then installed a GTK and XFT enabled Mozilla Firefox package, and immediately my font display on webpages improved.

However, your issue is with the title bar and icon etc area and not the website page. It must be some setting on your machine (or missing font package?). Have you tried grabbing the latest Mozilla Firefox package and seeing how that looks?

With my Mozilla Firefox, you would be hard pushed to tell what OS it is running on by simply looking at its appearance and how it displays webpages.
