The CD Rom speeds up and slows down (sounds like a quiet air raid siren - think of the allied's factory on BoB map on BF1942), then the browser opens, and 3 out of 4 times it says that index.html can't load, then IE stops responding, followed by explorer freezing ... meaning a hung system. If I don't auto-load the CD, it takes ages for all the folders and files to show up in Explorer, and when they do it freezes when I click a setup.exe for example. I installed UT2004 by copying the exe to my hard drive, that took longer than I would have expected (even taking the size of the file into consideration). The game installed fine from the hard drive. All other CD's, incl past PCW ones, play ok. Anyone else having problems? J :D |
