226935 2004-04-03 10:14:00 I created a Visio drawing and inserted a footer and in 'Print Preview', it looks great. Everything is excellent up to this point. But in the printed copy, the footer is not shown. ?:| I've tried to fiddle with the Page setup and margin settings but without success.

My OS is XP Pro. In Word (Office 2003) header and footer all work OK. Checked printer (HP deskjet 5550) setup and all seems to be OK.

Any suggestions?

226936 2004-04-05 10:33:00 I'm pretty sure that there must be someone who has Visio 2003 (bundled with Office 2003) installed in their computer. I would really appreciate it if he /she could kindly try and insert a Header/Footer in a Visio drawing and check whether the Header/Footer is shown in the printed hard copy, (as mentioned in my above post).

Cheers

226937 2004-04-05 10:50:00 I have tried it in Visio 2002, and it works.

I note that its positioned low down on the page and could be off page on many inkjet printers which require quite a large bottom margin for paper feed.

But presumably you have eliminated that.

And its not "bundled" with all Office 2003 versions, so don't assume everyone has it.

226938 2004-04-05 11:54:00 Visio is not bundled with my Office 2003 anyway.

I do have an HP 5550 printer though.
