| 1338489 | 2013-04-27 10:33:00 | I haven't yet. Still about a week to go. I had a few thoughts - on one hand we are a consumer faced with power prices and the other we are a investor :waughh: The investor info book mentions that, reduced demand of power or regulation can reduce power price and hence investor returns. For the amount of investment it isn't gonna be be significant unless it is a five digit contribution. General consensus believes some people in the industry are making it good but for those who says the market is doing well, maybe we should be grateful for prices as they are now, could be a lot lot higher :banana Maybe we are banking on that nothing happens, and power prices stay as they are or increase, as an investor it can be fruitful and like any other time we just suck up the power rises. |

| 1338496 | 2013-04-27 22:07:00 | I've been quite tempted. There was supposed public outcry against selling the shares to non-kiwis but now when push comes to shove most people aren't prepared to stand up for something they were *so* passionate about keeping ownership in the hands of Kiwis... Anyways we're tempted to throw two grand at it (My wife and I). We're not expecting huge returns, let's be honest its a risk either way, but why not... Put aside a little money for a rainy day, so to speak. |

| 1338498 | 2013-04-27 22:51:00 | I was tempted by the bribe to not sell your shares within a certain time. But the bribe wasn't good enough so I decided against it. I think the Greens/Labour announcement is brilliant. The reason it's had such a devastating effect on share values is because it stops investors sucking money from the poor. The Greens' next move could be to announce that future investment in generation will be done by public-private-partnership. That would defuse criticism as well as using Key's policy against him. The present generation capacity would become a kind of base-load owned by the poor |
