1337974 2013-04-24 01:16:00 Sorry, not going to happen. They haven't negotiated an agreement for this premier motorsport and don't intend to. We are left with the option to maybe drop our SkySport subscription and purchase a video pass from www.motogp.com but then we won't be able to watch World Superbikes on SkySports. Most of us cannot afford both.
From Sky's website.
Regretfully, we have not secured the rights to MotoGP. If this changes we will let you know immediately.

Yeah I'm following them on FB to keep informed. Hope they get it towards the end of the season at least - it heats up around Phillip Island / Laguna Sega.

1337976 2013-04-24 08:53:00 Well it's a channel I might actually watch, still nowhere near enough to lure me to sky though. I'm not a sports fan and the internet provides me with all the news I need, sky offers nothing for people like me.
"Here buy our basic package so you can have a mutlitude of channels you don't want and let us charge you extra for anything you might actually enjoy"....

Seriously I can see the end of broadcast TV on the horizon. If sky had a basic package that actually let you choose xx number of channels from their range instead of locking you in to all the crud it might pick up a lot of the remaining hold-outs like myself. Otherwise I await a decent streaming service to hit NZ eventually.

+1 we have freeview and the internet. I would only go sky if I could choose all of the channels I want and not be stuck with those I don't

1337978 2013-04-24 11:46:00 Yes a pick and choose system would be great.

I don't have sky.

The only sport I watch would be cricket.

That Igloo service could be worth looking at.

1337983 2013-04-30 20:32:00 So what does the name 'JONES!' refer to?
I've had a rummage around trying to find out, but cannot!
