1359619 2013-11-13 04:26:00 I'm really confused on this one. Recently I turned on "listen to microphone" to test something out. After disabling it I can still hear my mic through my headphones. I have tried this solution: www.sevenforums.com but microphone doesn't come up under levels for me. This problem has persisted through multiple restarts. I would just mute my mic but I need it for skype and what not. I've checked it isn't a problem with Skype. But it happens in windows without skype being open. Any ideas?

Edit: Soundcard is Asus Xonar D1

1359620 2013-11-13 04:34:00 Sledgehammer approach, remove and re-install the drivers? possibly overkill but not usually much effort so why not. dugimodo (138)
1359621 2013-11-13 04:36:00 Dont know if this will work, but have a read of the following: smallbusiness.chron.com Under step 3 ( Listen to the Microphone), untick instead of ticking. In other words do the opposite for all settings to enable - so it "Should" disable it", also check what other setting at are set, the speakers should be default playback device. wainuitech (129)

1359623 2013-11-13 05:03:00 Ok for some reason unplugging everything and plugging it back in fixed it. Not sure why. Don' think it's possible that I had a physical feedback loop? icow (15313)
