Ever since I updated to windows 8.1 is the in-store update my PC takes a good 5-15 minutes to boot!!!!! This issue has only surfaced after installing the Windows update, at only took 10-30 seconds. At appears that I am not the only one as there are a swam of replies on a Microsoft Communities Post, I thought I may try here in case anyone had a solution: answers.microsoft.com My Specs are below:

No such luck, tried that before several times, tried it again and made no difference. I have disabled fast boot which resulted it in taking longer, so re-enabled it.

1359404 2013-11-11 03:55:00 No Idea if this will work or not, But had a customers W8.1 here a while back. It had problems after the upgrade from W8 ( slowness, freezing, generally being a Pain) and it was the AMD Video drivers causing problems. Uninstalled the previously installed drivers completely, the catalyst software was causing all sorts of problems.

Once it was rebooted it was noticeably faster, it installed Drivers its self Via windows update. :2cents:

Open eventvwr ( type on the start screen) look to see if there are any common/repeating errors under windows /system logs, if so what are they
