227494 2004-04-06 02:28:00 *Shudder* another that causes headaches. Quote from a forum:-

These emoticons can only be embedded into HTML formatted emails and the recipient also has to have SmileyCentral installed in order to see them (otherwise the email will include a viral marketing message).

For a discussion see 'A Question From Alma:' under Cloudeight Information Avenue:

And, another thing is certain: It installs an Active-X control that basically leaves an open door on your computer for whatever their company should decide to give you. And the open-ended EULA gives them the right to do it, because by installing their software you agree to the terms of the EULA."

227496 2004-04-06 03:07:00 Arghhhh!!! No, Beetle, NO!! :O

Curse the darn things, you better not send me any! I won't see them anyway because I receive my mail as text only, ha. :p

If you want smileys in your personal mail you could use Firebird's brother, Thunderbird, which has built-in smileys. I sent you some mail with them a while ago when I was trying out Thunderbird, remember? ;-)

227500 2004-04-06 06:03:00 Susan, you are such a spoilsport!

Imagine the entertainment we have now missed ... trying to extract a working system afterwards. :)

Really, you should have advised to install Incredimail as well, for double the entertainment?

The ones in Thunderbird are interpreted by Thunderbird.

If you send it to a non-Thunderbird user they will just see text.
