The removal procedure may be unsuccessful if Windows Me/XP System Restore is not disabled, because Windows prevents outside programs from modifying System Restore. |

| 227422 | 2004-04-05 22:29:00 | JimB is right, the virus is probably locked into the restore file and although it is harmless while there, a problem could cause the restore to restore the virus, then it is dangerous and live. Best to truin off restore, restart computer and then virus scan again. If all clear, turn the restore back on. Instruction for restore on/off XP (service1.symantec.com) and ME (service1.symantec.com) Oh and welcome to the help forum :) |
