| 227447 | 2004-04-08 03:17:00 | IT WAS JUST THE CD!! Went to shop, explained situation and they replaced it. Came home, inserted CD and I am now sending this via Xandros. Didnt even have to connect to my modem (adsl alcatel speedtouch), it has done it automatically and here I am on Xandros. This was so much easier than windows so now it is time to play. | 227448 | 2004-04-08 03:30:00 | It's a bother when it's just a simple thing like a bad disk. Spoils a lot of clever theories. :D I got the magazine earlier this week, and I tried the Xandros disk. I got that message. :_| I thought it might be complaining that there's not enough HD for an install (only about 600MB), but the disk directory (at least) is readable, and there appears to be a "Live" system which shouldn't need to use any hard disk. Oh well. :-( |

| 227450 | 2004-04-08 04:35:00 | It just got better. I put in blank CD. Found the cd-writer program. Navigated to my Windows drive and was able to burn files from there using Xandros. whoah now this is good. |

| 227451 | 2004-04-08 11:32:00 | You will also find that you can rip cd's straight to mp3 using the Xandros file manager. For encrypted dvd playback you will need libdvdcss. Unreal Tournament 2004 runs great under Xandros |

| 227452 | 2004-04-08 11:56:00 | I had similar problems with the CD. The drive was a lot of trouble reading the disk, so I ran off a copy & installed off the CDR. I have had similar problems with APC disks. |
