2004-04-06 03:35:00 | Hi all, I want to buy the proversion of ZA. Have cash or cheque but no credit card, so online is out of the question. Checked DSE and BigByte (I live in ChCh) but they only stock macafee, norton and pcillian (sp?). Does anyone out there have any suggestions??? Cheers dibbly

2004-04-06 05:44:00 | You could try asking a friend to buy it for you on their card and then pay them back. The advantage of buying online is that you would get it at the current $NZ/$US rate, probably cheaper than a NZ shop-bought copy. Or you could contact this supplier (www.educcomp.co.nz) in Christchurch. | karent (5222) | |
2004-04-06 05:50:00 | Not wishing to state the obvious here, but are you aware that ZoneAlarm is a firewall whereas McAfee, Norton (anti-virus) and PCCillian are all anti-virus programs? | Susan B (19) | |

2004-04-07 00:08:00 | thanks for the suggestions, BTW, I am buying a router, after reading around am thinking of Linksys BEFSR41, this will act as a firewall, yes???? If this is correct will I also need ZA ? cheers dibbly

2004-04-07 00:57:00 | the router will only provide you with a nat, i would personally have a "personal firewall" as well, in other words a free version of zonealarm or norton internet security | Budda (2736) | |
2004-04-07 02:46:00 | Believ it or not I actually saw a copy of Zone Alarm Pro for sale in a Farmers Store here in town not sure if all Farmers stores sell it but you might want to have a look. | Odin (227) | |
