I've got embedded windows media player playing an mp3 on a website, for older browsers without the right plugins it sends them off to here to get the plugins:

. microsoft . com/Windows/Do . . . ts/MediaPlayer/" target="_blank">www . microsoft . com

However, this site no longer exists and Microsoft support is pretty useless for suggestions as to where to direct users for plugins in this modern era of Windows Media Player 9 .

Does anyone know of where embedded Windows Media Player using ActiveX can go to get plugins to play an mp3?

Cheers .

What affects this situation is the fact the website is on a CD. So the environment is stable and the mp3 isn't streaming or anything.

Should I just recommend a Windows Media Player 9 download? Is there a Windows Media Player 9 stand-alone .exe I could include? What about Mac's?

Sorry, many questions!

Thanks
