| 227304 | 2004-04-05 05:45:00 | Virus emails are everywhere at the moment and if your ISP filters for viruses you may not be aware of the extent problem. Any email with a .pif attachment is a virus. There can be a delay in anti-virus systems being updated for a new virus so some may get through so delete any emails with an attachment from an unknown address. Do not be tempted to open the attachment regardless of how genuine or convincing the message may be. |

| 227308 | 2004-04-05 23:08:00 | Hey yingxuan, A lot of the weird emails are hard to discover the original location, there's a lot of email spoofing, however, people who do get infected, the virus is capable of it's own builtin SMTP engine so that it can email itself from that infected user. The virus usually originates from the infected user, it's then left in the wild to spread, some people could continue to have the virus and not know it's there, so that's why the virus is never eliminated.
