227801 2004-04-06 19:46:00 XP home + nav2003 + adaware all patches, updates & scanned regularly.
Problem is trojan reboot.exe quarrantined by Nav in Dec 2003 but has not been able to repair. It has apparently affected my emails sent via Outlook Express in that anyone using Macafee etc do not receive my emails(i guess they are blocked)
Start up shows the following....ccApp, ccregvfy, direct cd, ctfmon, and msmsgs..do these seem ok?
I thought that if trojan was in quarantine it could do no damage but this seems to be not the case
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

ccApp ccregvfy are Nortons/Symantic. directcd is Roxio. msmsgs MSM messanger. ctfmon(.dll) W32.Mydoom.B@mm, virus.

Hop over to Trend Micro (housecall.trendmicro.com) for a house call online scan. Choose NZ from the drop down list then follow the instructions (print oit if necessary) You'll need to download a file for it to work.

Get a copy of SpyBot S&E, update it and run in conjuntion with Adaware.

Have a look at the PF1 FAQ's (loads slow) at computer maintenance, spyware, etc.

227804 2004-04-07 21:21:00 Just to clarify, cftmon.exe is a normal and expected process, its cftmon.dll thats a problem associated with a virus. godfather (25)
227805 2004-04-07 21:41:00 If the online scan doesn't kill it, try a free anti-trojan sanner/cleaner from here (www.emsisoft.com).
Just ensure you update it first, then scan.
