228169 2004-04-08 22:09:00 Could someone please explain what is the difference between a CD- and a CD+. ramu (726)
228170 2004-04-08 22:23:00 not to sure but i found this .

"CD-Extra:
CD-Extra, or CD+, is a format that saves track and data on the same disc. It uses Multi-Session to save track on the first session, and data on the second session. For the traditional CD players, they only play the track on the first session since they do not support Multi-Session. On the other hand, CD-ROM can apply this method to track and data together; for example, computer games are produced by applying such multi-session method. It is worth mention that, before CD-Extra, there is so-called Enhanced CD, Mixed Mode CD or CD-I Ready, those which are similar to CD-Extra, especially, in the positions for the two sessions are switched (see above description). The problem for such method is that when you insert the CD to the traditional CD player; it will produce a bizarre noise and even spoils the stereo. Therefore, with the contribution of Microsoft, the CD-Extra format has been developed and settled."
