in Counter-strike, i used to do a constant 70fps (frames per second) and have smooth mouse movements. recently, i started having spikes in my fps, it does 70 for about 10 seconds and then does 5 for about 3 seconds, and does this over and over again. i noticed that in the processes in the task manager (WINDOWS XP), cstrike.exe was only using 2mb of ram, and im sure it used to use more. when i set cstrike.exe's priority to high, the frame rate issue is fixed (although it still only uses 2.5mb of ram) but the mouse movements in game stutter like nothing ever seen before.this could probably be related to things other than counter-strike (it happens in some other games too) but if you have any info please help. |
