229360 2004-04-15 01:33:00 Does anyone know how I can find a driver for my sound card? All I know about it is that it is a Yamaha 64bit sound card. plzhelpmenow (5507)
229361 2004-04-15 02:21:00 have a look on the card itself and see if you can see some chip numbers then type them into google.

from the infomation you have posted for example below was found from a less than one seccond search. :D

229362 2004-04-15 02:59:00 Sounds like it might be an old card like mine and I never did find a newer driver for it so just use what came on the computer's driver CD.

You could try using AIDA32 (www.aida32.hu) which tells you everything about your computer except what colour it is. And some people reckon theirs does even that. :p

229363 2004-04-15 07:17:00 i found the following bits of info on the card:

Audio PCI
Ensoniq ES1371

and it said on the receipt from the comp shop that it is a yamaha 64 bit sound card. I can't seem to find a place to download the driver. Can someone help me?? The link before didn't seem to work.

229364 2004-04-15 07:27:00 Try going to cnet.com and clicking on "downloads", then "device drivers". You can search from there for the driver for your card, and it's free to download.

A while ago, I would have recommended going to drivers.com, but I see they've started charging now. Pity.

Best of luck.

229365 2004-04-15 08:09:00 Go with programs AIDA32 or Belarc to identify your card more fully. That chipset (Esoniq 1371) usually belongs to the "Creative" brand and not Yamaha. Pheonix (280)
