| 229311 | 2004-04-14 21:00:00 | Have just connected a laptop with a PCMCIA wireless card. Loaded software OK. Powered up the wireless hub/router (has DHCP). Software on laptop detects network 100% strength. (they're right next to each other) Problem: when I ping the hub I getmany lost packets. I have tried moving the hub away with worse results. Also have assigned wireless card an IP address (not using DHCP) with no change in results. I have turned off all equiptment in building including fluro lights and cordless phones. And I thought these things worked reasonably well. |
