230021	2004-04-17 01:48:00	ok as a next edition to last nights donger of a thread, i am now trying to print the stupid essay i wrote and have managed to save and added/ edited this morn. i put a new ink cartridge into the epsom printer, correct one and went to nozzel check head cleaner as i dont want any smudges on paper of this essay...... there the probs start, head cleaning box seemed to stay on screen frozen and nothing happening on printer. so thought ok test run to print something. and nothings so i thought ok its jammed somewhere ill shut down progs and start again, progs dont respond, comes up with program not responding box yadder yadder yadder stuf. Word is still on screen, but now its showing up as a blank named doc, that worried me a little, but i have saved it.... so i thought log off and ittll shut them down and i can start again.... when going into log off mode, tried this three times, came up with diff boxes each time. End prog STM3S Backmon this prog is not responding etc return windows etc end now click box type of thing. ok click end now as i have saved it. and next box comes up EBAPI Prog this prog is not responding return to windows etc end now click box stuff. is this the printer throwing a wobbly or have i inadvertantly clicked on something for it not to see the printer any more? as when i manually changed ink and click on ink button on printer all works well, but now its like info is not getting through? or something? any help would be appreciated. i feel i should not own one of these machines, as i always stuff them up. beetle	beetle (243)

230023	2004-04-17 02:04:00	Turn off computer and printer, have cup of tea to calm nerves, reboot and try again. If you can't shut down the computer properly, hit the off switch, switch on again and allow all the "computer was not shut down properly" stuff to go through then shut down again, turn on printer, reboot and try again. If that doesn't fix it, post again with latest symptoms. Cheers Billy 8-{) > i feel i should not own one of these machines, as i always stuff them up. PS I notice you do some playing around, like loading progs off the PCW CD. If this is a serious business computer, or you rely on it fore your studies, don't tempt fate by loading any unnecessary programs unless you have a drive image stored for full recovery protection. 230024	2004-04-17 02:53:00	What? i have done a shut down . i have gone off and done dishes . and the one time i load a game off pc world cd, as i actually only own 3 pc world mags and i have probs? is this going over board? this is not the work computer it is the old lemon . . . . nothing has changed i dont add anything to work comp, its probably 99% space free as far as i know . i am not able to use work comp for school stuff as i cannot leave piles of readings, books and notes plastered all over the comp and desk . at moment every thing is in boxes, so i have to unpack and re pack often to find appropriate books, waiting for my book i dont add any games if possible as one i dont have time to play usually or cant be bothered, i just thought id try it as we considered getting it for playstation at one stage . im not griping at you BT, just i get so frustrated when things dont work every time a coconut like they have and deadlines loom, hell i wasnt expecting it not to work . . . . . . i am not a gamer, i dont fiddle with things, and all i update is AVG, spybot and adaware . it comes home that i bought a lemon and i dont know how to use the bloody things and i have very little time or energy or patience for things when they go wrong . just having a bad day, and everything that can go wrong is going wrong or getting in the way of this . . . . . . 230026	2004-04-17 03:09:00	ok i have been doing some checks on settings etc, and on word i have ticked background printing ?what is this? i have unticked this and printed everything just fine? major confusion round here. is it possible this may happen again? it may revert back or something? huh if i ever get system restore to function ? .... beetle	beetle (243)

I think it might be for sending the document's information to the printer and letting you get on with some more work (in Word) instead of making you wait while it gathers up its skirts . > i have unticked this and printed everything just fine? 230029	2004-04-17 09:15:00	You would probably find that the post office mail boxes may not all be cleared over the weekend anyway? I am sure I have seen some that are only cleared Sunday PM and not at all on Saturday . You need to make it very clear to a courier that you want same day delivery, it can be done but is quite expensive depending on where and when . I used to need often it beween major cities (different islands), and it cost big time for delivery by specified times (tender documents) . Still had to hand deliver it to the airport .	godfather (25)
230030	2004-04-17 09:26:00	ends up being - cost not an issue when a grade is on the line . . . . . . . . . . . couriers open on Saturdays . . . . . . thats what i was hoping to do . and yes i will courier it early Monday, we know them quite well, so ensuring they understand wont be the prob . . . . . . . . best laid plans always go awry for me . beetle	beetle (243)
