230158 2004-04-18 03:39:00 XP should be no problem. For Linux, there can be problems. ;-)The development seems to be concentrated on the Wavelan (Orinoco) and Intersil Prism2 chipsets. There's a pretty good article about it here (www.practicallynetworked.com). It's worth a look at Jean Tourrilhes's page at HP, too.

Check Google, giving the type number and "linux" for any cards you are considering.

I've had the DSE USB ones which were on special at the end of last year (which use the AT76C503 chipset) working , with 2.4 and a lot of compiling, but I'm having problems with 2.6 kernel. :-(
