2004-04-20 04:20:00 | Have upgraded from OE5 to OE6 and notice that whereas OE5 mail received with pictures embedded in the main page and then being forwarded on, come up with the Outlook Screen "One or more pictures in this message could not be forwarded, etc" Any expert help would be appreciated. O S is Win98SE. Thanks in advance. Les 3

2004-04-20 22:33:00 | Hi Robo, most Outlook Express e-mails received, have the pictures as attachments and the actual picture in the main body of the e-mail: Attach: prettyboy.gif. Main body: a picture of prettyboy. Forward: Attach: Prettyboy.gif Main body: picture does not follow through. Hope that explains it a bit better. Sorry should have benn PC prettyperson.gif!. Thanks, Les 3

2004-04-21 02:36:00 | I wonder if you are just noticing the difference between:- "attach" a separate 'file' to the email and:- "insert" the file INTO the body of the email Just a thought - I have only recently come to grips with this myself

2004-04-21 05:54:00 | Woof thanks for that, it's when I receive e-mail with attach. and embedded pictures within the body of the e-mail. Forwarding them on and the attach. are still there but the embedded picture is eliminated. Perhaps I did it different with OE 5, don't tell me we have to save and then insert, or copy and insert. Cheers, Les 3

2004-04-21 07:12:00 | Funny thing is, I hate it when embedded pics are in replies and forwards when I don't want them to be and I just delete the buggers anyway. I much prefer attaching, as embedded pics are usually bloat. robo.

2004-04-21 07:38:00 | Have a look here...open OE and tools-options-send and see if mail sending format is HTML and next to that, check HTML settings and see if "send pictures with messages" is ticked. Just guessing here. :)

2004-04-21 23:12:00 | Thanks Robo, by this you must save and then attach, which is what I have had to do. "Bloat" a new word, your meaning, it's like a "dairy cow", takes up the whole screen. Les 3.
