| 230645 | 2004-04-20 01:35:00 | I recently purchased a new motherboard (mobo), the Asus A7N8X-E deluxe. It has Dual Channel DDR400 capability. Also, I got the AthlonXP 3200+ with the 400MHz FSB. I bought a retail pack of 2x TwinMOS Dual Channel 512Mb DDR400 Sticks. Here is the stuff I bought for reference: RAM: www.stylespc.com CPU: www.stylespc.com Mobo: www.asus.com First, what is the PC3200 number that gets quoted mean? Second: When my PC boots it says: 1Gb of DDR Detected, running in Dual Channel Mode at 200MHz Why is it not 400 if I have an FSBof 400, and DDR400 RAM? I have checked all the frequncies and related settings in the bios, and they are all listed as Auto. Cheers, Craig. |
