I am running avg but before it does its job morefiles are detected and keeps telling me to run avg, now a message saying windows files have ben replaced with unrecognisable versions and must reinstall i have a dell 2400 running xp hellllllllllp! |

| 231047 | 2004-04-21 15:45:00 | avg finally finished but couldnt move any of the infected files to the vault (files in system volume information and system-1) took ages to shut down computer want to wipe c drive but dont know how on this new comp, no floppy drive, reinstall cd doesnt seem to do what it says it will in the manual will try again tomorrow |

| 231048 | 2004-04-21 21:48:00 | It is locked up in a restore point now. You need to :- 1/ Turn off restore 2/ Restart PC 3/ Run AVG again 4/ Turn restore back on when all clear. To turn on/off restore 1/ Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer 2/ Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. 3/ Click the System Restore tab. 4/ Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives" check box . |
