1360325 2013-11-20 04:59:00 I understand Xtra's UFB service is currently (unofficially) uncapped, hence I am on a lower volume plan for now (why pay more).

Does anyone know when that is likely to finish? I have a big migration to do onto the cloud, may have to upload about 270GB of data, thinking of using my UFB connection instead of the client one (which is not even installed yet, with no firm date!).

1360326 2013-11-20 13:03:00 I would hazard a guess that they don't because they can't, and at this time of year it's probably not a big priority. pablo d (15490)

Fingers crossed, will be migrating the big blob of data next week!

1360328 2013-11-20 22:32:00 Whenever they get round to fixing it. I doubt an ISP would unintentionally give you free data that they could be profiting off (unless it's a promotion, in which case it's intentional anyway...). Could be hours, days, weeks, months. icow (15313)

It is not "Unintentional", it is sort of a well known secret. LOL.

1360330 2013-11-21 22:47:00 Generally XTRA uncap things whan they are having trouble with the functionality of capping it, as per TiVo which was uncapped initially, got capped once they sorted it out, and is currently uncapped again due to some change made a few months back. It'll stop when they figure out how to stop it or the customer base grows enough to make it necessary and it's unlikely anyone in the know will post it on a public forum, Jobs get lost over that sort of thing. Enjoy it while you can, I know i am with my TiVo causing my VDSL to be uncapped :) dugimodo (138)
1360331 2013-11-22 02:20:00 Last I heard they were targeting sometime in Q1 2014, but that may have changed as bringing their Voice over Fibre product to market may have reallocated resource. inphinity (7274)
1360332 2013-11-24 03:38:00 This is my first month using Telecom's UFB and just received an email from Telecom that I have used 8% of my monthly data. Is this just a routine warning or they have actually started the capping? bk T (215)
1360333 2013-11-24 05:21:00 80% surely not 8%. zqwerty (97)
1360334 2013-11-24 06:13:00 I note they no longer have the disclaimer about *not* monitoring it on their website, so perhaps they have started. inphinity (7274)
