1360221 2013-11-19 21:12:00 How can I insert a space within a cell without doing it manually

IE

AA12345
AB12345
AC12345
Etc

AA 12345
AB 12345
AC 12345

over 7000 entries on the sheet to manually is not really an option.

1360222 2013-11-19 21:48:00 Have you tried doing a "find and replace"? or Find and insert?

This might help

1360224 2013-11-19 22:06:00 I think it can be done with cell formatting but I can't recall how. I can figure out how to create another column and a formula to split the text in that.
for example for data in A1 and taking the left 2 characters then adding 2 spaces I get =CONCATENATE(LEFT(A1,2)," ",RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-2))

Kinda feel like that's the hard way, but if you fill down the column the formula will work. Not exactly what you were after I know.

1360225 2013-11-19 23:07:00 What version of Excel are you using ? If you have Excel 2013 you can use flash Fill to automatically do it Example: First few seconds of Video (office.microsoft.com) - Its similar to what Dugimodo posted. wainuitech (129)
