2013-11-20 02:48:00 | There you go. It pays to install updates :D Hmmm, the MS Partner page still wouldn't work properly. Opened the main page, but the login page wouldn't load. Came up with this ... Sorry... an error occurred. REFERENCE NUMBER: aa20378e-db6e-44b0-a3e3-35c512f47d8f APPLICATION ID: SOLUTION: Launch an Internet Explorer InPrivate session (Ctrl+Shift+P) and retry Tried that above but still didn't work. I can login fine in Firefox though. The Irony, can't use the MS browser to log into MS site!

2013-11-20 03:53:00 | Hi Speedy did the ipconfig /flushdns, but it was a DNS problem, then it should affect FireFox too. Anyway, did the flush dns, the MS Partner Login page did open in IE, but still couldn't log in, yet I can immediately open Firefox and login there, see attached pic. ... 5309 Also tried to run the netsh winsock reset, but it requires administrator rights. I tried to run cmd as administrator, but I don't know what my administrator password is, never set up an admin account when I set up the laptop. Update: Just found how to run the cmd command in admin mode 5310 Press Windows + X to get the Power menu and choose Command Prompt (Admin). Ran the netsh winsock reset, now have to reboot.

2013-11-20 04:07:00 | Rebooted and still no go signing into MS Partner site in IE, now I have the weird "Access Denied You are currently signed in as: 0003bffdb76110f8@live.com" error. And surprised ... it works fine in Firefox! 5311

2013-11-20 04:29:00 | Rebooted, but still no joy. Found out that somehow the MS Partner page shows logged in as Guest, Signed out of that and I can then get the Login Page, but login still unsuccessful. Pressf1.co.nz wouldn't open in IE after the reboot as well, it goes to a bing page with all the PCworld links, clicking on the first one bring up that page not found error. Ran ipconfig /flushdns and bam, I can open Pressf1 again in IE. So may be there is some sort of DNS issue with IE. While IE is having problem with PressF1, FireFox works, before and after the flushdns !

2013-11-20 04:41:00 | Did you try the 2 commands, I sent to you in a PM?? Yip, did the flushdns and netsh winsock reset, that's why I had to reboot before. The FlushDNS did make a slight difference after this reboot, see my previous message about PressF1 ended up in bing page, then I ran flushdns again and it works again in IE mysteriously. So it does appear IE11 has some issue with DNS, but it does not affect Firefox. I try to download the remaining 18 updates, but it sat there downloading 0% for ages. Stopped it and did some of the updates one at a time and some worked, some just sat at 0%. It is down to 9 now, have to do them one by one, some of them didn't work, so skipped them and try the next one.
