| 1339686 | 2013-05-05 08:01:00 | Aunty Herald does it again ... After reporting "The driver's husband, who asked not to be named" &c, they publish a photograph of the wreck on page 5 of the Herald on Sunday. The Hyundai's numberplate has not been blanked out, and is clearly readable. :groan: At least TVNZ did the decent thing by not showing the numberplate. Can I ask why it's so important to blank out number plates, peoples faces etc. It seems to bee a trend imported from overseas over the past few years. It after all happens in a public place .. |

| 1339689 | 2013-05-05 10:39:00 | The road is a public place and I can take photos of cars on the road and publish them anytime I want, always been able to otherwise very car from 1895 that had had its piccy taken is a privacy breach I record dashcam idiots on the NW motorway and SH 16 and send the vid to their bosses (trucks and buses). I dont know why the press blur them but they dont have to. People have been recording the number plates of guys picking up dirty girls at Hunters Corner and publishing them police said thats fine. |
