231538 2004-04-23 08:55:00 access yes... but can the limited user change, alter or delete? or just view?

231539 2004-04-23 09:11:00 Uhmm whats the point of having an encrypted file if someone can read it? lol

Try PGP either with using the disks or encrypting individual files, or drivecrypt.

XP = worst encryption system ever created.

231540 2004-04-23 23:13:00 Amen to that bruthaa...
but still, even without the encryption, isnt windows xp supposed to deny access to an admins files from a limited user?

231541 2004-04-23 23:40:00 Privacy options which deny access to even view are only available if the disk is formatted as NTFS.

231542 2004-04-24 01:01:00 it is formatted in ntfs... buuutttt....
incase i selected the "dont make my files private" when i created my user, can i change it to make my files private or do i have to create a whole new user to select the "make my files private"?

231543 2004-04-24 02:38:00 Nope you don't have to make a new user, right click on the folder you want to secure and have a play round with the permission and security. Make sure you give "SYSTEM" full access and yourself, but you can deny access to anyone else. KingWave (5517)
