231479 2004-04-23 05:07:00 I have a big build up of TRF files in Local Settings/Temp hundreds and hundreds of them. Would be interested to know what is generating these files. pknell (5560)

231481 2004-04-26 05:44:00 Many thanks. Using the site suggested and through a link to Edit Pad have been able to open the TRF files and now find repeated references to such as pcmag.shopping.com services.yaga.com www.google.co.nz
*.pcmag* *.ziffdavisinternet.* etc. etc. I am sure these TRF files have only started accumulating over recent months. Is there any way to stop them??

231482 2004-04-26 08:08:00 Don't know which program you are using that is creating them but you could create a batch file to delete them. mikebartnz (21)
231483 2004-04-26 08:10:00 It sounds like they are the product of some spyware, logging your history. Instead of just deleting them, try to eliminate whatever is creating them.

Running updated versions of AdAware and Spybot would be a good start.
