| 231872 | 2004-04-26 05:00:00 | Winston, the guaranteed way to ensure that the OS uses less memory is to remove some of it. XP is supposed to work with 128 MB, so try that. ]:) It will run slower, of course. ;-) Even Windows should try to use memory efficiently --- one way is to keep frequently used code in memory,so it doesn't have to be loaded from disk every time it's needed. You might have cause to complain if you saw 323 MB of memory never, ever, being used. |
