| 231700 | 2004-04-24 05:37:00 | Dear All, Can anyone help me with a strange CD-writer problem? Until two weeks ago, inserting a blank cd led to a set of options to write the cd with a variety of programs including Win XP home, Musicmatch juxebox, or Nero 5.5. I tried out a video-cd program (which I didn't like and have uninstalled) and now the detection seems to be lost. Neither XP home or Nero can "see" the blank CD and I get messages asking me to insert a disc if I try to force a write with Nero. I can still write with Musicmatch Jukebox, so I don't think it is a fault of the writer itself. I tried buying a registry repair program (System Suite) but although it found a variety of conflicts and broken links, it has not fixed the problem. I suspect the registry settings have been changed but I have no idea what I should repair. Unfortunately rollback does not seem to be enabled on my machine. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!! Thanks in advance.... |
