| 231673 | 2004-04-24 04:03:00 | A few years ago I purchased from McAfee through Digital River a downloaded program named Visual Trace. Unfortunately, when transferring the program from a old computer to a new computer through LAN it became corrupted by missing a particular file from within the program. I had contacted McAfees' through their website and got nowhere, just a continuous stream of autoreplys; telling me to go to a particular page and redownload the program which apparently is now non-existent on their web-site. However they did have a facility to order a backup CD for $12.95 US; which I thought would solve all my problems, so I ordered it and it went through their finance system named Digital River etc. It has been processed financially and come through on my credit card as would be normal; but as yet no sign of the CD disk in the post. So I went back to them by e-mail asking what happened to the despatch of the disk and all I get is a continuous auto reply telling me to go to certain areas as detailed on their emails;but keep coming to a dead end response. I tried ringing them from New Zealand; but being put on a queue was going to be very expensive to me so discarded that. Does anyone out there no where I can download a further copy without going through all this again. I reckon I have lost my dollars on this lot. So much for McAfees and their useless administration expertise! Sorry I'm so long winded about it all but I am really pissed off with them. |
