| 232164 | 2004-04-26 04:25:00 | Hi Folks ---would someone please tell me how to By-pass the Startup program .If I pick Normal my Windows 98 SE locks up .I have to go thru the step by step system to get to the Desk Top. Thanking You. |

| 232165 | 2004-04-26 04:39:00 | how do you mean startup program? the werid thing with what you said is that step by step works ok. if this is the case i would suspect possible hardware (eg heat or psu) or a driver/program taking to long to run. run msconfig and take all unneeded program out of startup and see if the same problem exists. then enable each program one at a time until the fault appears. if you are not sure whats needed at startup post the list here. |
