231926 2004-04-25 03:57:00 I have just moved my winxp system partition onto a new harddrive and has changed the MBR and boot settings so that it will start booting, but i don't know why it won't finish booting. It will just boot to the point where a windows xp logo can be seen in the middle of a light blue screen with 2 darker stripes on the top and bottom. I have tried to wait to see if anything else happens, but it just stays there for quite a while. I have tried booting in safe mode etc, but it always stops at about the same point(same screen). Does anyone know what is wrong (or how to fix it)? it is a bit hard to try and fix the problem if i can't find out what is wrong. plzhelpmenow (5507)

How did you do this? Did you run a repair of the MBR? Is the new partition set as active?
