| 232683 | 2004-04-28 06:47:00 | Hi, I use the fax and pic viewer to open images in Explorer. I use the arrow keys up or down to go to the next pic. I used to be able to click the editor button and Windows Photo Edit came up and basic editing was a breeze. All that happens now is the viewer shuts down and I go back to Explorer. In PC World Feb 2004 pressf1 there was instructions how to change the registry but there is nothing to copy from the target field when I select properties as suggested. Any help gratefully appreciated thanks. Dave | deejayz (5584) | ||

| 232685 | 2004-04-29 11:09:00 | Thanks Jester, I tried editing the registry as suggested but it still doesn't work. This is what i put in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\PhotoEd\Photoed.exe" "%1" It seems to point to the right folder and file but still no joy. When I reopen regedit, it opens where I editied not at the top like it should? |

| 232688 | 2004-04-29 12:58:00 | Unless you really must have picture viewer a better option would be Irfanview which does everything thatt xp's picture viewer does but is far better with more editing options. Free download irfanview.com |

| 232689 | 2004-05-02 02:19:00 | Thanks for that, I will take a look at it but I like the picture viewer in XP due to its ease of viewing all the pics in the folder by clicking the up or down arrows. If i could make the button in the viewer open another picture editor then that would be OK, it's just that Photoedit is real easy to use. How would i make the button open a different editor then? | deejayz (5584) | ||
