| 232679 | 2004-04-28 05:49:00 | I believe this software comes with all newish Asus mobo's. In my recently built system, Sandra 2004 reports the following: Mainboard Bus(es) : AGP PCI IMB USB i2c/SMBus MP Support : No MP APIC : Yes System BIOS : Award Software, Inc. ASUS A7V600 ACPI BIOS Revision 1006 System : System Manufacturer System Name Mainboard : ASUSTeK Computer INC. A7V600 Total Memory : 512MB DDR-SDRAM I am intersted in the 'System : System Manufacturer System Name' part. How do I set 'System Manufacturer' to 'THR Computers' and 'System Name' to 'VP2800'? -=Tom=- |

SiSoft can't read a badge on the front panel. ;-) If you are Mr Dell, or Mr Compaq, or Mr HP, you buy your BIOS chips made to order, and installed on the motherboards. If you are Mr Individual and you buy a motherboard, it has a BIOS which is made for the MB manufacturer, who is selling you one board, and doesn't know who you are. :D Even if he did, he wouldn't get a special BIOS chip for you. ;-) |
