232652 2004-04-28 03:50:00 Our office has recently purchased a laser colour printer and we need to look at a mechanism for determining the number of pages that users are printing and also whether it is in colour or not. This is so we assign costs appropriately. The printer is attached to a Win2K server.

Does anyone have thoughts on how this could be done or inexpensive software which can do the job?

Thanks
Dave

Also I think HP does a package that logs a page by page usage for their printers.

If you wont to do a user by user track that is a lot harder and will need to be supported by the printers supplied driver, and used with a software package supplied by the printer manufacturer.
