2004-04-27 11:53:00 | Wahay! I got the random crashes sorted out and I am benchmarking in at 6768 CPU score in PCMark02. My system is as follows: AMD XP 2800+ Barton ASUS A7V600 VIA KT600 512MB Generic Brand DDR 333 RAM GoldenField 6127 Case 400W PSU Stock Cooling! 80GB Seagate HDD Pixelview FX5200 126MB Running at 2300mhz at 41C My system is performing better than most of the $3000 systems in this month PCWorld. I got the system clock at 184mhz & the multiplier at 12.5. I left the Vcore on automatic. And I'm only 14 B-) Wahooo!

2004-04-27 12:14:00 | YAY! I got the same mobo... But I got an XP2600+ non barton.... its at 2300MHz aswell but running at only 42°c... and I've just exited battlefield... Why is your XP2800 running at 2300MHz but yet 41°? Are the bartons hotter or something? I should check my score aswell... I just selected my clock speed out of the BIOS... I didn't have to play around with voltages or multipliers but I can do that later... you should try to go higher... How much did your system cost?

2004-04-27 12:14:00 | Very nicely done :) How much did you say it cost? > Running at 2300mhz at 41C Stock cooling, thats wicked. Any case fans though?

2004-04-27 12:18:00 | You realise with a ddr400 motherboard, you could have put 400mhz ram in it (instead of 333) and the ram would run at 400mhz. Your FSB would just be limited to 333Mhz because of the cpu. | PoWa (203) | |
2004-04-27 14:44:00 | oh... disregard my temp... my computers not in a case... its in a papertray on my desk so airflow is well... all over... | hamstar (4) | |
2004-04-27 20:21:00 | Ahaha thats awesome, well done.. Does it have Liquid Nitrogen Cooling (meatpie.orcon.net.nz) like these guys did when they overclocked a 1.8ghz to 3.

2004-04-27 21:00:00 | It has dual exhaust fans in the PSU, one 120mm exhaust on the back & another 120mm on the side window . Hmmm, the math doesn't work out, multiplier at 13 at a speed of 184, according to my calculator that should be 2392 . Oh well, I'm happy with my system . In SiSoft Sandra it is only slightly behind the 3 . 2 P4 & Is ahead of the 64 3400+ . That case is really great it's from Ascent in Wellington . ascent . co . nz/mn-product-spec . asp?pid=117276" target="_blank">www . ascent . co . nz
