232511 2004-04-27 10:50:00 Second Homeline from Telecom is $30/month plus installation costs

You want 256 kb no data cap and unlimited time "for between 70 bucks"

Between $70 and what??

232512 2004-04-27 11:20:00 dunno about fiji, but currently I'm on 256k international / 3bit national with no data caps for $78 per month whetu (237)
232513 2004-04-27 12:19:00 The JetSurf 256Kb 10 gig plan is unlimited as far as time goes - total is $69 . 95 month . There is no need to get another line for this .

Whilst there is no data cap that would incur extra cost, Telecom reserve the right to limit your speed to 64kbs after you exceed 10 gigabytes within a billing cycle (a month) .

They don't reserve the right . They say it will happen as soon as you go over the 10GB no questions asked . Read the terms and you will see that it quite clearly states they will drop the rate . I also checked this up with Telecom thrmselves and three different people there told me exactly the same thing .

However after yesterday that must be taken with a grain of salt as well because I got my visa bill and it showed $133 charge had been placed on there by them . I had already paid my bill of $101 . When queried they said they had not taken anything out and it must be visa's fault . They could not be convinced even when I asked them how visa know how much to take out of my account for a phone bill . So I asked them if they were happy for me to have the charge reversed and they said no problem . So I got visa to reverse it . Now to sit back and wait for the fireworks to start but the comment from visa was that Telecom do this all the time and it seems they can't be bothered checking up .

232516 2004-04-28 07:15:00 by "reserve the right" I mean don't flame/sue me if you go over whatever your cap is and they don't charge or reduce your speed .

As you discovered there are two types in this world who's prerogative is to change their mind . Telecom is one .

232517 2004-04-29 10:56:00 where did you get that plan from? I was looking for something like that. But is this unlimited really unlimited? Or is it just 10gigs and then the throttle? static reanimated (5575)
232518 2004-04-29 11:13:00 Most ISP's offer Jetsurf 10 gig plan. Here are two links:

I was intrigued cause he said that he had 'uncapped 256k' connection with 3mbit national? Is that true? Does that mean that if i have that plan i can share files with my friends in auckland at 3mbit?
