232572 2004-04-28 00:17:00 just seen this little article (www.osnn.net). it can a bit of a mouthfull but it does make some good points.

Windows XP is a Virtual Memory Operating system
There is nothing you can do to prevent virtual memory
There is nothing you can do to prevent paging in the NT kernel

232575 2004-04-28 06:42:00 Well, I guess if you had 1Gb of ram, you could just use 512mb for regular use, and the other 512mb use as a ram disk and put the paging file on there. Basically if windows is always going to use the virtual memory, you can at least trick it into thinking its using a hard drive, but actually its using the ram. PoWa (203)
